Our Story to Fun Kids Hair Extensions

My Hair Popz began when trying to find a way to dye my 9 year old daughter's hair without investing a lot of time and money in the process. Efforts to dye her hair a year before with "temporary" dye were a disaster. The color faded, but never disappeared completely, so we had to cut inches off her hair. There had to be an easier way! 

We began looking for alternatives, including hair chalk for girls with dark hair. But still hair chalk is messy and dull, and does not show up well, especially in darker hair. We tried some hair pieces but found the hair to be too heavy, hard to attach, and lacking in exciting, vibrant color blends. We just could not find kids hair accessories for girls that were colorful, fun, easy to attach, and lightweight.

We worked with several manufacturers and after a lot of trial and error to get the weight, blend and look right, we finally produced a prototype. We wanted My Hair Popz hair extensions to be light in weight but to look full when worn and easy to attach. We also needed good quality hair that would not tangle and become unusable after a few wears. We went though many batches of samples and multiple manufacturers before we found the right hair extensions that matched our high quality standards and performance expectations.

My Hair Popz ponytails are secured to any amount of hair with a claw clip. They are well-made yet lightweight and easy to use. The colorful hair extensions consist of a high quality synthetic fiber that may be washed, curled and straightened.  It is tangle resistant and easy to brush.  It looks, acts and feels like real hair and comes in fun color blends and names. My Hair Popz mission is to give kids a chance to be fun and creative and express themselves through color.
